Atlantic Station is a beautiful area of mixed-use development, which includes boutiques, sidewalk cafes, hip restaurants, loads of shopping, offices, condos and hotel space, as well as 11 acres of public parks. It has a great backstory, too. It is located downtown near the High Museum of Art on what used to hold the Atlantic Steel Mill, and after years of industrial use and contamination, the land was remediated to become the award winning smart growth and sustainable neighborhood that it is now. The motto of this urban enclave with its own zip code is "Live, Work, and Play" in the same neighborhood.
